Beyond my Expectations

I have some incredible news to share with you on this beautiful Friday afternoon. But, before I can tell you I think it is best to give you a glimpse of what has been going on in my life.

Over the past six months, I’ve been through countless medical tests, scopes, procedures and biopsies. We put our house on the market, so it had to be gone through, cleaned and organized. I have interviewed for two different positions, but wasn’t selected. My grandmother had to be placed in a nursing home as her dementia increased. To say it has been challenging would be an understatement. There were days I’d simply cry out to Jesus for answers, help, strength, anything to just keep going. I knew in my mind that God had a reason and even more than that a purpose and plan for my life. I didn’t understand why I was facing these trials and why doors seemed to be closing left and right, but I hung on praying that God would use me – broken and battered as I was.

Well, let me tell you Ephesians 3:20 came to life for me with an invitation in my inbox. In this email, that I read and reread numerous times, I was asked to pray about being a part of the Encouragement Cafe speaker team. I was floored. Utterly amazed at how God works and His timing is always perfect.

I don’t know whether you are currently in a valley or peak in your life, either way rest assured that not only does God have a perfect plan for your life, but He’s beside you every step of the way.

In the comment section, I would love to hear from you. If you’re struggling, I would be honored to pray with you. If you are on the mountain top, I’d love to praise God with you.

  1. We are still in the valley so to speak. Warren was laid off from CSL the tax place in St. Charles. But was picked up at Wildwood Hotel to work weekends. He still does Cross Mark working at Pet Smart and Pet Co. I am trying to remain strong and to keep trusting God through all of this. Daniel has scoliosis and has not been in church at all. So to say it has been a struggle, it has. Would love prayer for all that we have going on. Thanks so much.

  2. As my Facebook posts, May had been emotionally draining for my family. Lost a beloved grandfather and an aunt who was very close to every person in my family. She would do anything for us and we helped her all the time. Her home was as familiar as mine. Since I have to still cut her grass every week, I cry when I arrive. I still can’t believe she’s gone. It was so unexpected. Our aunt was diagnosed with cancer and dies two weeks later. My boys are crushed. I’ll keep praying for you too :).
