Friday Afternoon Fun

thanksgiving

It is no secret that I love this season. The sights, the smells, the people. It is the one month where social media is flooded with lists of blessings. I love reading through the lists. You and I have so much to be thankful for, God has truly blessed each and every one of us. I do not know your current situation, the storms you may be facing, but I know the One who is with you through it all. God is reaching out His hand for you. He wants to comfort, help, strengthen and guide you. You see, God graciously pours out love and mercy everyday, not just during the month of November.

I encourage you today to take a few moments and stop and think about what you are thankful for and then begin to write a list. Take it one step farther, I want you to post the list somewhere you will see it everyday – the refrigerator, desk, nightstand, whatever works best for you. It is to be a reminder to you of all the blessings you have and to thank God for them and focus on them even when the hard times come.

In the comment section today, I would love to hear where you are posting your list and what you are most thankful for this afternoon. I will go first, my list will be posted in my office and I am most thankful to have another day to shine God’s light into the world and be with my precious family. After a cancer diagnosis two years ago tomorrow, this is not something I take for granted. Not one of us is guaranteed tomorrow – live for God today.

  1. Leaving my list on the nightstand. Feeling so thankful to have my job. It’s so good to be able to help families care for family members at home like my brothers and I did with my parents. It’s good to keep on giving to others even though my parents are gone now.

  2. I’m leaving my list on nightstand & bathroom mirror. I’m Thankful for waking up to another day even when things feel difficult, to be alive and that God kept me after a car accident 2years ago, for my health, for my beautiful daughter, family, friends, and a new job after being laidoff.

  3. Posting my list in the kitchen. I am so thankful for my husband. He is supportive of me and my dreams, he keeps me laughing. He is truly a blessing from God
