Striving for Perfection

Perfect start to the day, quiet time in the Word before the rest of the family gets up. After a prayer it’s time to wake up the kids – who happily rise from their beds, without a frown or grimace and put on the clothes laid out the night before. Breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls warm from the oven await the family. Lunches and backpacks are out and ready to go. After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, the kids quickly get on their coats and shoes – conscious to help the younger ones, before giving big hugs and kisses and heading out with smiling faces to the bus. Speaking of which, what is that noise?

This is a portion of an article that I have featured on Encouragement Café today. I would love for you to read and then come back and share your thoughts in the comment section.

  1. Good morning Jamy! What a perfect post this was for me today! I woke up this morning feeling not so good about myself for a couple of reasons left over from yesterday…in my quiet time last night, I did ask God for forgiveness, but somehow I woke up unable to totally give it up….I am not perfect and I know He knows me and knows my heart, so I will offer it up this morning one final time knowing that He is a merciful God and His mercies are new every morning! God bless!
