Anytime I have the opportunity to read a book by Debbie Macomber I take it. Starry Night is the latest addition to an ever-growing list of books by Debbie.
Main character, Carrie Slayton, has landed a position at a prestigious newspaper in Chicago. However, she never imagined being stuck in the society page section of the paper. She has to figure out a way to let her boss, Mr. Nash, see what she is really capable of by writing something with more substance. Nash gives her a prime opportunity to do just that. If Carrie is able to get an interview with the elusive best-selling author, Finn Dalton, then she can have her pick of departments within the newspaper.
Carrie had no idea the journey this assignment would take her on. More than that, she didn’t realize that finding Finn would be the easiest part of the journey.
Carrie and Finn must both learn to set standards and priorities and let go of past hurts. Will their lives ever be the same after one starry night?
Like Debbie’s other works, the characters and story are really developed. I simply loved this book with all the twists and turns along the way. I would definitely recommend this book.
