Daughter of Jerusalem – Review

I had the privilege to read Daughter of Jerusalem by Joan Wolf. This book takes a fictional look at the events of Mary Magdalene’s life. The reader will recognize many of the characters and events from the Bible. It was fascinating to see everything from Mary’s point of view.

Joan Wolf did an excellent job of developing the characters and giving the reader vivid descriptions. You can see and feel what is going on like you are in this journey along side of Mary – for the joys and the pain.

I would recommend that you keep your eye out for this book when it hits shelves next April. It is a great way to get a different vantage point on the various events. One word of caution, although these are real people and events, the book has been fictionalized. Still a wonderful read.
