I have yet another book review to share with you today. I was not familiar with Faye Bryant, but the title of her book, Ramblings from the Shower, caught my attention. I love the concept of this book because some of my best writing and inspiration for blog posts have come while I was in the shower. Of course, it is a little difficult without pencil and paper or a recorder. Faye’s whole premise behind the book is that the time in the shower is her time with God. She uses this time to mull things over. If you are a mom, you can probably relate, since this is one of the few moments you may have without interruptions.
The great thing about this book is that it is divided into short chapters that could easily stand on their own. That makes this book perfect to leave on your bedside table and read a little each night or stick in your purse for those times when you have to wait — in a carpool line, at a child’s practice or the doctor’s office. Ramblings from the Shower is a perfect read for those of us with just little pockets of time tucked here and there.
