I am familiar with Amy Bayliss because of her blog, Cajun Joie de Vivre: Stepping Stones to a Fulfilled Life, so when I had the opportunity to review her book, Pursuit of Proverbs 31 for the CWA Review Crew, I jumped at the chance.
Pursuit of Proverbs 31 takes a look at what the Proverbs 31 woman is supposed to be, while taking care of some of the myths along the way. This is not a checklist of things to do, but rather a deeper look into the scriptures and how you can apply these principles to the heart behind your service.
I loved how each section was broken down into a manageable chunk. You did not need to devote hours and hours to this study every day, which is great for women on the go or moms with little ones. Not only did Amy break the sections down, but also placed the following items at the end of each section: focused thoughts, scripture for memory, essential, useful and bonus. These key sections are great for not only wrapping up what she covered in that chapter, but also for quick reference at a later date.
I would highly recommend Pursuit of Proverbs 31 to women everywhere. You do not need to be a wife or mother. Amy gives practical ways for all women to apply these principles to their lives.
