It has been awhile since I have blogged and I apologize for that. There were several things going on at the start of the summer. I am praying that I will get back into my regular blogs. For those of you who follow my blog, today is Tuesday, which means it is time for a Tuesday Tidbit. The last two have focused on Bible studies that I highly recommend. This week is going to be a little different. My recommendation to you is to read the book, “Choosing to SEE” by Mary Beth Chapman. This book is not only about the tragic loss of their five year old daughter, but also the everyday struggles we all face and can identify with. We each have a choice to make everyday in every situation that we are faced with. We can either run to God and receive His guidance, peace and protection or face the storms of life on our own. I know all too well, that I am not capable of facing those storms on my own. That is not to say that I haven’t tried — simply thinking that I knew best. I soon discovered that I don’t know best and I am not the one in control. God knows what is best for each and everyone of us. He has a purpose and a plan for our good. No, that does not mean we are not going to have storms in our lives or not have to face the “hard” stuff in life. It simply means that whether we understand what is going on or not, we simply choose to see God. Mary Beth Chapman makes this point throughout her book. “Choosing to See” doesn’t have any type of study questions at the end, but I can guarantee two things if you read this book. First of all, you will need tissues. Second, you will be challenged in how you are choosing to live your life. We all have a choice, it is up to each one of us to determine what path we will choose to take.
